Based on the previous comments, sounds like someone posing as a time warner cable representative. probably trying to get your info for ID theft. I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. I live in Orange County, CA and official TWC usually leaves me a message or has an OC area code.
Only answered the call because I have family and friends in the Los Angeles, CA, area. It was Time Warner Cable, who I do use as my current provider, although in a different county. They wanted to upgrade my cable and internet package. I said politely said no and the call ended with them giving out their customer service number if I changed my mind. They didn't ask for any personal info, nor did I give any out. Appears to be legit, if inconvenient.
Also receive multiple phone calls from this number. Number appears as Charles Borja in TrueCaller app, but answered it and it is TWC wanting to upgrade or something. All you have to do is ask them to remove you and they're polite and do it right away.
Lady was polite wanted to upgrade Time Warner package. As soon as I told her my issues with remote she politely stated perhaps this is not a good time to call At least she was not rude like ATT, despise ATT customer service. Go figure about an upgraded package ?
I got a call from Time Warner Cable saying they wanted to upgrade my package -- they had the personal details of what I had on my plan, and I didn't give them any information. HOWEVER, they promised an upgrade and scheduled a service technician and NOTHING HAPPENED. Waited for Time Warner cable service call and no one showed up. When I called TW Customer Service, they had no record of the new service plan we discussed or my scheduled service call. Something really fishy is going on here.
