Thank you Shamus. I got the call today from Card Services. We get it every few days. I figured also that pressing "9" to put us on the Do Not Call List would just let them know we are home. We are on the real list and it doesn't seem to help. You can go to the government website, tell them, then they send you a letter to officially post the complaint. I don't know which is more painful-getting the calls or filling out the complaint form.
This company gets you on "their sucker's list" & even following the recorded message to "push 3" to be removed from their call list IS A WASTE OF ANYONE'S TIME... By pushing "1" and attempting to speak to a human being to politely ask to be removed from their "sucker's list" they simply hang up the phone on you since you're NOT willing to be a victim. CALLER ID works: IF you see "Card Services" Don't bother answering their call...
They have been calling me from various numbers about three times a week for six months. I call back to talk to them, they never answer. Today for the first time someone answered when I picked up & I asked them to identify themselves. They gave me the caller name of "Account services for Visa/Mastercard". I then began to ask to have my name removed from the list & they hung up on me. When I try to call back the live operators are always unavailable & despite leaving a message to have my number removed from the list, they don't do it. It's a schamm. I've had the numbers they have used, two different ones so far, blocked. I hope that works. THIS IS HARASSMENT!
