Received 2 text messages from this number stating that my Verizon Wireless account is locked with a link to click on. If you click the link it asks for you to log in with your user name and password. Total scam. The link looks legitimate but is not part of Verizon. Do not click the link.

I also received this text. It really looks legit because of the link starting with www.verizonwireless.com. I did the mistake of 'signing in' but when it said my credit card wasn't updated (why would Verizon need my credit card on file anyway?) and asked for name, SS#, and credit card info, I knew it was a scam. So I called Verizon to inform them and also changed my online password and had Verizon put an extra security password on my account. I'm disappointed that Verizon doesn't put something out there for their customers to inform them of this scam. There isn't even anything on their website mentioning it.
