This is creepy because this happened to me today. They said I owe money and if I didn't pay them then my wages would be garnished for 8k....WTH???? Just the fact they called my job is really creepy because I don't give out the number and they even have my email address
I have received numerous calls during the day several times a week. Most recent is from a Joseph Brown = telling me he is from Internet Crime Complaint Center and is the lead investigator. Very heavy indian accent - says I owe money to "Cash Advance" (no exact company name) and that i owe $80 in interest payment for something I supposedly did or signed up for or ?? in march of this year. Story keeps changing = when I ask for amount or for them to send me an email, they won't give me a direct answer. Want them to quit calling!!!!!!!
Had a call from this number only on caller Id it showed 750-100-03 today they called literally 23 times within min, another number they are using now is 201-241 showing up. they left this number today and the other day they left 888-586-0485. They are with the internet crime division and the gentelemans name was Mason peterson I think very heavy accent. Any way says there is a legal matter with my name and social and I need to call him back immediatley. Funny thing is they called a few months ago and they were a law firm... Stupid crooked [***] need to move on and get a real job. I have found though if you call them and block your number that really makes them mad. I called to scam them out of money and he began screaming at me... I wish they would cash these guys way annoying and they are pissing me off!!!!
They have called 4 times senior officer something! Omg I am over it I have reported to FBI and everyone I know! Do they think we are dumb they are calling as someone else, but there number shows up the same! Called him every name I could as well as told him to prove I owe him money! Grr!
They say they are with Internet Crime because people have been advised to report all calls to www.ic3.gov. These scammers have nothing to do with ic3 - other than the fact that they are being reported to ic3 - once again they are just trying to make themselves sound legitimate - they are nothing but liars and thieves.
i had a call..and i didn't taken seriously...as per these conversations....sometimes these r serious calls.i didn't taken seriously and i had a court summon in next 20 days.... and then i had to pay $3500 rather then $475.
