After responding to a listing on Craigslist - they then sent a text message from this number for a panel phone conference with several other assumed applicants. They confirmed that they were booking with Publicis for a CoverGirl shoot. However, I know for a fact that Publicis books out of their main offices. Furthermore they refuse to share information via email - only through text messages.
They then ask for your agent's information to book you. If you don't have one - they want you to sign up at their website for $50. Keep in mind, they understand that if you are looking for work on Craigslist - you most likely don't have representation.
No reputable agency - Ford, IMG, etc will have you do this. Agents only get paid after they book you.
The fact that they a) only communicate via text messages and b) refuse to give you an email address or additional company info are two signs that they are not legit. Do your homework.
Further research indicates:
* The owner is someone named Dawn Fleming.

They are indeed very likely a SCAM. Talk to real agencies, call locally and ask them how their booking process works.

Yea, they texted me with this crap. They only thing that gave them away is the 50 dollar processing fee. No legit agency wants money till after you are booked.
