Rec'd a text to my husband's phone "Hey girl" on Jun 30th. We were on the road for a long trip the next day, so we decided to respond. So I sent a text back and responded and here is the conversation that ensued:
323: "Hey girl"
Me: "Hi Kitty."
323: "Wyd babe"
Me: I sent a picture of 3 girls in bathing suits taking a picture of themselves in a bathroom mirror, then I sent a picture of a bunch of crawfish my husband and I caught on a fishing trip.
Me: "Hi crawfish."
323: Mmm wtf
Me: Crawfish and women dude.
323: Ok man fine
Me: I sent a picture of the same crawfish after it was cooked. Then my husband got worried that the text may have come from someone he might actually know who might have text him on accident so I said...
Me: "Sorry for messing around. Who is this?"
323: "Ok bye"
Me: "Bye. Next time make sure she gives you the right night."
323: "Ok bye"
That was the end of it at that point. I'm not sure what this person is trying to do but it does appear that there is a live person on the other end.
I just got the same kind of text messages saying "hey girl" I replied back "who is this" and it said "LOL I'm Brian, r u good?" Then I asked "Brian from where? And he replied "LA... WYD?" I said, "how do I know you" and the reply back was "idk but r u good?" I'm not going to repeat what my last and final reply was, but he stopped texting me. Maybe they are comming from someone who is mentally ill and lonely who just texts random numbers all day?
It's very creepy and strange. The only thing I can think of is that it is a spam or weirdo because I have recently applied to a million jobs on Craigslist and only sent my resume to one's that sounded legitimate, but most likely were not because all I received were replies telling me to click on things which of course I didn't. Needless to say I have not sent out my resume to anymore ads from Craigslist and probably will take my job searching elsewhere, especially after these strange texts.
the same thing just happened to me. hi babe, then wyd...then i replied in a foreign language and he said what. so he said his name was brian and who i was, i gave him another name and told him he had the wrong number and added him to my spam list. no more txt. crazy people out there.
