It's Carmen from "Cardholder Services." For goodness sakes, people, just hang up as soon as you hear this SCAM robo call. Don't bother to complain that you're on the do not call list, do not press 1 to be taken off their list, do not engage them in any way. JUST HANG UP.
I have nothing better to do so i stay on and talk to them and tell them lies. costs them the few cents for the phone cal, plus whatever they are paying the dork i talk to while playing games on my computer. figured out through trial and error what numbers they are looking for. if you tell them you owe more than 15 k in credit card debt they hang up immediately. best way to keep them interested is say 8-9 k. then they will go on with the script in front of them. i have it on a speaker phone so i can just say "okay" or "yes" every time they pause. I can usually waste about 10-12 minutes of their time. and it does not interrupt my game play at all.
and to the poster above, you are right, century link sucks. not only are you unable to block calls, i strongly suspect they sell their client lists to telemarketers.
we receive almost daily calls from "consumer services." this is such a nuisance call. our family has some serious health issues and wish not to be disturbed by these useless calls to lower credit card rates. i don't need or want this service.
i pressed 1 and got a live person who immediately hung up on me when i asked what credit card company the person represented. please stop this.

Every year these scumbag scammers change their spoofed numbers and start flooding me with their scam messages. And....ho hum..... every year I add these numbers to my call blocker.
It just amazes me (more like sickens) that our government knows all about these people, but yet don't do anything about it. And our phone companies ignore it as well.....
And pray tell, why isn't there an option for "Scammer" on the call type when posting a message?
Same scum, different Spoofed number - 323-943-1869 Caller ID "Consumer SVCS" - Typical scum bag human sewage scam call... Augmented a "big red button" call blocker with a Sentry Ver 2.2 Call Blocker about a month ago - the Sentry is the newest form and has better tech than the old reliable CPR Big Red Button Ver2 Blocker that's been in service since late June '14. The Sentry blocks ALL the incoming trash that's hit it so far, if it maintains the length of service the CPR has demonstrated it is the better unit to have... Having both does have a few nice effects - the CPR keeps a running total on what number has called how may times - current "winner" is 43 calls blocked from the same number.
They have really stepped up the changing of spoofed numbers since I put up the blocker wall ;> Nice to make them have to TRY and reach me with a non likelihood of getting to the answering machine any more - since the Sentry unit went on-line it stops their auto dialer dead.
None of the turds have bothered to try and get past the Sentry's opening "Hit "Zero" to proceed" automated answer to their auto dialer ;>
Even if they do hit zero it still does not reach the answering machine until the second dial-in and then only if I don't toss the obviously bogus number into the "Black List" for auto blocking if they bother to try the same number again...
Tempting as it might be, it's best to NEVER answer these turd's calls and engage them - it only puts your number on the auto dialer's "call more" list since it confirms the auto dialed number used is a "live number" with a possible sucker on the end... They could not give a crap less if you ask to be "Taken off the list...."
Too bad there is no listing in the "Call Type" that actually matches the real manner of the scum making the calls - there should be at least "Scammer" in the list.... Some where there may be an actual valid telemarketer making unwanted calls...and that's the only case that "telemarketer" really fits...
