Please note that online scammers are placing job adverts in US newspapers adverts [Los Angeles Times, Washington Post] but are just a money mule scam and they just want you to deposit checks a be part of their fraud.

The advert is for `Payroll Officer' for Santos Limited [a real Australian company, www.santos.com] but they are just a fraud. They use Yahoo & Live email addresses - [email protected] and [email protected] or [email protected] or [email protected]

The scammers have also used the name `Yanira Buchanan' with phone numbers 917 477 3947 and 323 952 8396 and 323 647 5662 and 347 632 0603. They call you up if you are looking for this type of job

The scammers are also using the email address [email protected] in their fake Santos limited adverts

Also using [email protected] Joseph F Peck out of LA and a scam for a driver for his mother who is moving to your area. $25 an hour and they send a check usually in the amount of $3760.20 drawn on NATEX Corp ARCHITECTS, 2500 Willcrest, 3rd floor, Houston, TX, bank is AMERGY Bank, Houston, TX

Got the same check dealing with the driver position, knew it had to be too good to be true so just held on to the well printed piece of paper and continued to look into this before acting any further...... Glad I did.

At Monster.Com, there is an ad for a driver for a guys mother and he sends a check from Exacto Inc to be deposited.  This is a scam and you will be arrested for cashing a bad check if you deposit it.  Somehow, the arrest doesn't seem right but they will do it anyway.  Guess they won't go after the people who post the job.  I guess out of state is too far for them to investigate.
