Who called from 3239828040

This person used our company credit card # to make internet purchases.  This number was on the invoice that was sent to our company for the fraudulent purchases.

Getting calls from 323-982-8962 telling me it is urgent to call him back (Nikki Johnson). He said he was from IRS police patrol and if I did not call him back they would take action against me. When I called him back he asked me who I was. I asked him who he was. He said my asst.  might have called you, I said no it was you and if you called me you ought to know my name, he then said ok, and hung the phone up.

323-982-8962 is a phone# in California also. See above comment from me.

My client had the same type of call.  When I called them back, he answered it "IRS", I asked for his name and agent ID #, which he did provide (Ray Miller 753211). I said I was calling on behalf of a client and he said the client must call him back and he hung up.  I reported it to the Department of Treasury http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtml  and to the IRS [email protected].
