I got a phone call from this number today. The guy who left a msg had a heavy foriegn india accent. I had my friend who is an attorney call them back. The guy had a hard time identifying me when she asked why he called me. Finally he figures it out and before he gives her any information he asks her for her attorney id( which let me tell you no one ever asks for). He wants to prove who she is before he will tell her why he is calling me? She tells him he needs to fax her what he has on me. He starts laughing and says of course he can fax her what she needs. And all he does is laugh...She tells him what he is doing is illegal and that she is going to report him to the Attorney General. He continues to laugh..When he left his msg he says oh you better call me back and god help you if you don't and god bless you..what kind of collection agency says that??? My friend also tells him that he needs to send a letter confirming the supposed debt. Of course he would not do that. I am so sick and tired of these people calling and saying these things - like it is going to make you pay up right away?!!
I received a call from this number today. They left a msg much like the one described above. Will not give any information and have received calls just like this one from different numbers with the same type of accent. I tried to call back the number today and got some sort of msg stating, "we are terrorists trying to scam America and are too stupid to password protect our voicemail system so someone hacked into it...if you received a call from us demanding money, please disregard it" something like that..not the exact words but you get the point. My only advice to anyone getting calls such as these, DON'T give them any information. If they can't send out what so called debt you have and are this sketchy sounding DON'T trust it.
A person named Amanda Black called from this number after I left work yesterday. I called back this morning 3 times and got the same message about them being terrorists, etc. The fourth time I called I was transferred to a man with a heavy accent who told me not to call back and I would be in jail by the morning. This was after I told him that I suspected this was a scam. He never told me what it was they were calling about in the first place.
I got a phone call from this number today. Somehow I think they are linked to the people at 718-831-7157. The man who called me had a very thick foreign india accent.He leaves the same kind of message you better call me back or else and god bless you. When my friend who is an attorney called back he had a hard time figuring out who she was calling in reference to. When he finally figured it out - She asked why he was calling me. Immediately before he would give any information he wanted to know her attorney id number. Who asks for this? Nobody asks for this information. My father is an attorney and he said No one ever asks for this..he wanted to know who she was before he would say anything so he could harass her. She tells him she will not give the info to him she is not the one under scrutiny - it is him! She wants the name of his company. Of course he will not give it to her..she tells him to fax her the information he supposedly has. But of course he will not give it to her until he has her information. Then he starts laughing becuase he does not beleive she is an attorney because she will not give him the info...She told him what he was doing was illegal and she was going to report him. He starts yelling and laughing.She tells him he needs to send her something in the mail.to validate the debt..he won't answer her just laughs. Needless to say my friend hung up. My father even said to ignore these people. No one can arrest you for not paying a debt. A debt needs to be validated and no collection agency would call you and threaten you like that over the phone. I am so sick of these people making these attacks!!!
