Who called from 3239899893

Caller responded to my car for sale advertisement. Another scammer wanting to send a "cashiers check" and then have his "mover" pick up the vehicle. Simply another worthless piece of trash, looking to prey on the uninformed and weak minded.

I live in Springfield Missouri and got a text message within a few minutes of me posting a ad selling a transmission.  The text said he was deaf, wanted to send me a cashiers check and have his mover pick it up.

Normally I would get questions like how many miles are on it, when was it rebuilt, where am I located, etc..

Instead it was a very generic text that could apply to anything and when I told him I still have it I received the next text before it could possibly have been typed, I don't care how fast you are.

I think he is using a computer program and probably sending hundreds or thousands out a day and responds to the easy prey he can scam.

This is a worldwide scam using selling sites whereby they want to buy sight unseen and use a shipping / mover to collect. The say they are sending you payment but  " Oh problem with payment going thru with PayPal or whoever can you pay mover , will send larger payment then you can reimburse the difference"
You never receive payment and you are out the money for the non-existent mover.  Big scam.

Thanks Tim, I figured but I do know a older couple that fell for it.  People like him should be busted but cops would rather hide behind bushes and give tickets to soccer mom's in mini-vans doing 42 in a 35.  More revenue with less effort.  I hope you know how to stop them, let me know if I can help.  [email protected]

Got same thing about a expensive table just now I'm posted seem ok but my friend said ask about the bank gave me a name Chase said wen money is cleared then will send their movers my friend said hate to tell u prob a scam I'm glad I Google and saw all ur posts thanks for the reassurance merry Xmas
