He just tried to place this ad with me and i knew it was fake and thanks to this site it helped me know for sure it was! Thanks for all who did post this, only change is this guy used the name David Mark.
This number is FAKE. They posted an add on Tulsa World saying they were looking for a personal assistant and that he couldnt meet me because he was in Texas doing business. He told me my first assignment was to cash a check that he sent me through FedEx and wire the money to some orphan home for donation. The check he sent me was fake. I knew it was sketchy when he called me and asked me if I cashed the check yet and he sounded foreign. I didnt cash the check because I knew it was fake but hopefully no one else falls for it!
I saw an ad in the newspaper for a personal assistant and it asked for a resume. I sent my resume and a man named "David Johnson" sent me an email asking for some information. He asked for my address so he could ship packages to my home and I could forward them to him in Texas. He said he would pay me $400 a week in advance for my work, as well as do shopping for him and so on and so forth. He said it was for electronics and clothings... BAD ENGLISH! Then I asked for his phone number, tax ID number and business ID number. He didn't give it to me, and continued to ask for my home address. I made up a story that I didn't receive mail at my home, but he wouldn't accept a P.O. Box. He had a THICK foreign accent. Totally a scam. I told him I thought it sounded like a scam and he said "Bye" and hung up. I will be reporting him to the police. Hopefully they can catch him and arrest him. DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM!

I do all of the recruitment ads for a paper in the upstate of South Carolina. This number, along with several others that have similar digits have been trying to place ads in the paper and continuously call. They were trying to place an ad with me last week for a position in Texas and then just now it was for a position in North Carolina. Also, they are placing the ad for a Customer Service Rep. A total scam.
