Similar thing. They still seem to be doing these cold calls. Would only speak to the owner and only message was this call concerns "one of our projects". Caller claimed to be "Nancy". Called the # back and was transferred to "Nancy" and she indicated it had to do with an opportunity to invest in one of their petroleum projects. Can't say for sure if it is illegal but it is definitely shady.
Also received a call similar to above. Caller identified as Nancy. Traced it to Bluff Creek Petro which appears to have numerous entities including Innova Leasing. They appear to be selling shares in an oil and gas investment across many states. I also located a few lawsuits dating back several years related to both Bluff Creek and Innova most indicating that it was a bad investment and should have been avoided.
