I don't know why they call my phone number, I never answer if I don't know whose calling because I believe spammers have tried to pull the wool over my eyes before. Like I kept getting phone calls with my area code plus the first three digits of my phone number, they do this so we'll think they are somebody local trying to get in touch with us, like a doctor's office or a dentist, in which we don't recognize their number because we don't see it everyday, so the spammers, or whoever it is will think we will pick up the phone. Once my son needed an emergency dental appt. and I was trying to get him an appt. with one we've never gone to before and someone called using that 'same' area code + first three digits of our phone number, so I assumed it was a dental office, locally, so I picked up the phone, then the woman said she was with a big ministry located in our state, but I knew that ministry would have a different area code, so I felt the ministry was trying to trick us to pick up to see if we'd give money to them, I've since come to believe it may have been a spammer trying to pretend they were that ministry in order to get me to give them my credit card number. Anyway, you get the idea! So I don't pick up the phone if I don't recognize the number calling.
