Today March 25th,2011 I received the same kind of call. A lady asked me about my IRA. Wanted to know if I get my statements at least once a year and wanted to set up an appointment for April 11th to talk with Woody Stewart. Gave her my husband's cell. She called that and left no message.
have no idea who these people are - a woman asked me if I have received my investment report , and I asked WHAT INVESTMENT REPORT - then I told her I had no idea who she is and I'm not giving her any private information on the phone -
Woman called about some type of insurance report & would send an "agent" out to update my insurance and how to "not pay taxes on social security". She will then ask you to "only give the year of your birth to confirm. Hint: make a year up.
Caller ID provides this number but when redialed gives message on working number of schedualling department. This deffinately a con call .
Hang Up and if you have call block try to add this number to it!
I received a call from a woman calling from Ohio about going over my IRA. Never heard of the person (Mr. Horvath) who wanted to come over to my home next week. She even had my address. This is definitely a scam. I called back and got the same message about a closed "scheduling department."
