A message was left on my phone from a Jeff Malone yesterday stating that he was calling from the Fraud Division. He also stated that he will have paper draw up on me in my State if he do not hear from me or my attorney. He did not state the reason for his call just he was calling from the Fraud division. Don't know why the Fraud Division would be calling me.
It is a scam! If you ever took out a payday loan they sell your info or these bottom dwellers hack into the system to get your info! Don't call them back! They cannot arrest you! Most of payday loans are illegal in most states. They cannot touch you. It is just threats to get your social and more info. They might even want you to wire them money. Don't do it! They have nothing else better to do. I had the same number to call me yesterday. Just ignore them.
Called me telling me they had cases against me for bad checks, stolen merchandise, and unpaid child support. I laughed in the guys face because I do not have any kids. I took out a payday loan about 8 years ago and every now and again I get a phone call like this. Don't worry about what he is saying; you didn't do anything wrong. They're just trying to scare you into wiring them money. Simply ignore.
My sister got a call from Amy and also from Jeff Malone phone number 330-451-4918. The payday loan was paid over 8 years ago and was paid in full. I'm thankful for this site--now I know these are scammers. When asked to provide documentation of the debt he said he couldn't because it was part of evidence. We were told to MoneyGram money by 2:30 or she was going to be arrested in our state. Company name: Republic National; Receive Code 7645. I hope that all this information helps someone else not to get scammed.
