This phone number was in use by the Stark County District Library, but we were not making these calls. We found out that a local Outbound Call Center was putting this number in their system as the Caller ID to be used for call backs. We contacted the Call Center and the problem went away for a while, but resurfaced again a few weeks later. We don't know if this was an "unintentional error" or intentionally done for some reason. We have terminated this number as of 9/21/2007 and converted the line to another phone number.
My phone number is 330-479-0009 and I have been having similar problems since November, 2006. I have even spoken with someone from the library before because I knew it was happening to you also. I have been trying to get this resolved, to no avail. The phone company has not been able to help and the local P.D. has been useless. I am curious how you determined it was coming from a local Call Center. I really wish to nail these people and not be forced to change my phone number. Any information you can give me would help immensely.
