He was fishing, wanted me to say a name but since I have no cousins in Mexico I asked him to give me the names of my father or my mother, supposedly his uncle and aunt. He said he was at the bridge about to cross and was about to say he needed something but I stopped him and said, we are not talking any more until you give me a name to confirm you are a relative. At that point he hung up.
Just last week, a friend's father received a call they were pretending to be his grandson and asked for $2,000 for an emergency.
They are tricky, if they catch you unaware, they fish until you give them a name of a relative then they make you believe you need to send them money, meet them or tell them where you live.
