this number called imposing as a relative, wanted the address, was coming from out of town. we gave
the person on the other line our address and they called awhile later asking for 500 dollars, that they got
a flat tire and were in the need of money. Be careful out there not to give any information unless you
ask them particular questions in regards to family history, if they cant answer then they are liars.

Called saying they were some relative coming from out of the country...they claimed they were at some airport in Mexico waiting for their flight over here. Few minutes later they called back claiming they had trouble with mexican customs. They claimed they were bringing 10,000 cash and he needed to pay taxes on it. Besides the fact that the persons voice sounded completely different and had different accent than the one we know I just went along with it. As soon as I asked the guy claiming to be my relative where he got the money from and questioned him on how his voice was different, he hung on me and didn't call back!!!!!
They start out kinda playing the guessing game. Like saying "remember who this is? Eventually when they get some answer they want to here, they got enough info from you to keep going with their scheme! Watch out!
The same thing that happened to Jay just happened to us.But, I detected the scheme right away. They say that if I send the money to him so he can continue the trip to L.A,once he arrived there he willgive me for the effort 1000 dollars.Big fiascer rip offero, another big rip. These are the times.Do not send your money neither belive anyone asking for it.Tell them that we need lots of farm workers and there are very few around.
Call received 2/4/13 around 8 pm. Called me by my name and asked me if I knew who was calling. Said it was family from Mexico, I asked who he was looking for he said you, you are my aunt, how soon you forgot about us, I said who is calling? Who do you want to speak with? Hung up. I've been reading its a crime ring from Mexico calling from a jail. Do not give any information!!!! I didn't, but I wished I had know to cuss them out.
Received a call 2/9/13 during Morning Hours . He claimed he was a relative from Mexico and was passing through LA and requested my address to come visit. I wasn't sure who he was but he kept saying things or asking questions to keep the conversation flowing; such as, "hi Tia how are you? , how can you forget about me already ?, there you go , you do remember me ". He claimed he was bringing a gift and that was the reason he was stopping by. I then gave the phone to my husband and told the caller " your tio is here, let me give him the phone so u can talk to him" the caller paused and said "oh he's there I thought he would be working" . My husband got the phone and asked for his last name and he said our family last name. My husband then requested another last name and the caller didn't know what to reply. My husband hung up on them. We never gave them our address either. Just make sure to ask family questions if they can't answer then these callers are up to no good.
