I received a call from someone saying that he was my cousin from mexico and was coming to visit. One hour after the call, he calls me back saying he was in a car accident and there was a young girl in the car he hit and she was hurt. This happened on the other side of the border. the police was there as well as the ambulance to take the girl to the hospital. the man posing as my cousin said he was being held and needed to pay all the damages to the car and hospital bills before he would be released. my so called cousin said he had two cashiers checks with him, 8,600.00 and 6,400.00 drawn on wells fargo bank and all he needed was to leave a deposit of 2,000.00 with the officer and he would be released to cross the border into the u.s. to cash his checks then return to pay the balance owed then he would come to meet me and repay the 2,000.00 to me. it of course is a scam....like the person before me stated that he called and fish for information, pretending to be family
