My mother and sister also received a telephone call from the above number stating they were our cousins. They said they were coming across the border in Tijuana and they wanted to come visit. Then the next day they wanted my mother to wire $3000 via Western Union because he had been arrested at the border with a gun. My mother told them she didn't have that type of money and they negotiated to $500. This is a scam, these cowards just want to take your hard earned money. Do not send them a dime!!
Received a phone call claiming he was my cousin coming to visit me. He asked me if I wanted him to bring me any gifts. I asked about other cousins and the answers were vague and when I asked about my long deceased aunt and he said she was great I knew something was wrong. Then I said I might not be in town to which he asked me for my cell phone number. That's when I asked what his last name was and he hung up. All this conversation was in spanish.
The same thing just happened to my mom they told her it was her nephew and he needed her number. My mom gulible as she is gave it him. they called from (331) 660-5497
Got a call from a Hispanic caller saying he was my husband cousin and he was coming to visit but then he called back to say he had a wreck and needed me to give this other guy info and I told him yea right I don't think so. I called the local police and made a report and this person is stupid I am white and have forked for the police dept so they need to try harder I don't give out info or my name to people on the phone or at my door
