CAREFUL: I got a private call today from a dude claiming to be my cousin. He said he was about to cross the border and was coming by. He later called from 331 087 4912 and told my dad he was going to be late because he'd had an accident and was in trouble. Luckily the call was dropped and I was able to reach my cousin and knew it wasn't him. THIS WAS FRAUD. careful if you get a call make sure to ask questions. I goggled the # and saw he'd been doing this to others. Careful. I rarely call so know. I text or message I rarely call.
These guy called me and said he was my cousin and asked me for money and I thought it was my cousin but little did I know he was a fake watch out for this [***]
I have received a phone call from the same number, this guy called me 2 days ago (May 20th), using the same story., but I`m in Mexico. Looking at the USA area codes, I know that this person has been calling from Illinois. This person speaks English and Spanish...so, take care with this guy.
I have gotten a call from this number twice. One in May stating that he was my nephew and that he needed money because he was coming to visit me and his car broke down. The other call was on June 29. This time he stated that he had lost his wallet with all his money and needed money. Be very careful with these guys as when they first call and you ask who is calling they will tell you to guess and if you give them a name they will say "yes that's me." - or they'll say "it's your favorite nephew/cousin" then if you say a name they'll say "yes it's me how are you doing." - and if you are like me who has a ton of family everywhere you can very easily fall into their trap.
My mom is here visiting and got a call yesterday 08/02/13 from this same number stating it was her cousin and he was here visiting from Texas and was in San Diego broke down, did some fishing around for information like the previous entries above, my mom is a smart cookie and started calling the "cousins sister" just to make sure it was him or not ALL BAD A TOTAL SCAM!! Please be careful of this I have had friends be dooped into giving lots of money and it is all just a scam!!!
