I hand the phone to my mom and she begins the convo believing what he says, he's coming tomorrow and needs to get picked from the airport since he's coming back from a trip in Puerto Vallarta, mistakenly she gives him her cell and he said he'll call back, hopefully doesn't. Today a male voice at this number called my unlisted landline and played me saying it was my nephew from Central America arriving at Ciudad Juarez in Mexico and then saying he would be in Santa Fe, New Mexico soon and could I come pick him up because he wants to visit me. Got my cell number and said he would call when he was arriving. His voice didn't sound right and I thought it odd that no one from the family called to let me know he was coming. He said this number was his cell phone but it was different than the one my nephew gave me a few months ago, so I called my nephew to see if he was travelling and no, he wasn't. I called my cell carrier to report it but they said there was nothing that could be done with my cell number alone, but we should call the police. The sheriff said calls like this come in all the time, they will next have some excuse to ask for us to send them money, that's the motive.
