I have received two phone calls from this number also claiming to be from my "nephew in Mexico". The caller addresses me by my first name and when I say I don't know anyone in Mexico he asks me how I could forget my family in Mexico. For at least the past three generations, no one in my family has been born in Mexico and no one has ever lived there. The caller speaks to me in Spanish and I told him this second time, in Spanish, that I was going to report the call to the authorities. I contacted my provider and they said there was a scam and that I should report the call to the local police. Which I have done. My phone provider indicated the the phone number that shows on Caller ID is likely going through a scrambler since no phone numbers start with the numeral one. I think they may be targeting older people (I'm quite old). Thanks for posting your message. Report the call.
My home and my grandfather's home got a call from a man claming to be my grandfather's nephew from Mexico, when he's been deceased for a while. He called my sisters house after and asked for her, saying she was his aunt, we have absoulutly no family in Mexico. Needless to say we DO NOT have any older nephews. I'm posting this to warn whomever may get a call from this number. DO NOT give any information to this man. He is a scammer and not a very good one at that. Thank you.
