I am tired of callers such the female caller from 331-212-8021,
display a number, without any name. How am I supposed to know
who they are? I do not have enough memory to recall their
numbers.
I called back this number almost immediately, and was
frustrated to find only a recording suggesting
that one call during their business hours,
which surprisingly include Sundays and Saturdays.
They also offered the option of leaving one's number
with a request that it be place on their "do-not-call"
list.
They called today (Saturday) back to back, not even 5 minutes apart. I didn't answer either call since we all know if it's legit or important anyone should leave a message. They left no message on either call leading me to believe that this is just one of the many scammers repackaged with a new phone number. I've started looking around for a good call blocking phone and I hope others will reply here which is the best. It looks like so far the Panasonic offers the most options in blocking numerous calls without having any additional phone service.
I made the mistake of answering a call from a number I did not recognize - out of curiosity I guess. ID showed "Aurora, IL" and nothing more. Male caller named Ron identified himself as representing Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police, soliciting financial support. I politely declined and hung up. My home phone number is on the National Do Not Call list.
If this really were Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police one would think their caller ID would proudly announce that and why wouldn't they also solicit by mail? I don't give a dime over the phone to anyone.
