Good to know. Just got the same thing. I was afraid because this person has our name and address now. When we call the number he doesn't answer. Did anyone else give name and address? Stupid I know!
This number sent me a text about my Craigslist posting. He/she offered to send me a cashier's check for the items and would arrange for pick up after the check cleared. Sounds legit I know but I asked him/her to call me and no call. This person didn't want to know anything about items. Very suspicious, recommend avoiding.
This sounds like the old "pay the shipper" scam. Buyer is out of town so he can not see the item. He has a shipper who will get the item & you will be asked to WIRE money to him (actually the scammer). The check will eventually bounce & you will be out the money you wired (untraceable).
