My mom got a call from a guy askin for my dad saying he was his uncles son, which would make him my dass cousin. But he kept calling my mom and dad uncle and aunt in spanish. He said he was headed to the town we live in. Knew our last name and told my mom to guess who it was. He then told her to list all my dads uncles which she did and he claimed one odf them to be his dad. He asked for their address too. My mom thought itv was weird so I went internet searching and found this site now this number has called my mom like ten times in the past ten minutes! She didn't give an address but they won't be able to figure it out will they???

This has happened to me recently, he claimed to be my cousin but all my cousins speak English so I hung up. I have heard stories where people like this will usually get people to give information to them like your mom did and then they sometimes get robbed or killed I am not sure how true or if those events ever happened but I did call the number back and this time it worked and who ever it was said his name was steve and was fronting as Dish Network answering service.
Usually, these callers claim to be relatives and they're on the way to visit your town. Then you get another call saying they were in an accident and they need money to pay the hospital, or a tow truck bill or they missed their plane and need to buy another ticket...you get the picture. It's all a scam. Needless to say, it's best not to give ANY information out to people if you are not absolutely sure of who they are.
