I did the same thing they also call u in mexico we have a home their and they claim they are coming from ca and then they claim border patrol stop them and they need money to get out this is a scam I'm still waiting for him to call back... He will in a few asking for money for some b.s story
Same story as all the people above this guy calls says he's my uncle visiting from Mexico. Calls the first time to say he's here in the US for a visit and to not tell anyone cause its a surprise. After a while he calls back to tell me hes not being let through customs and needs financial help. Only I went a little deeper and called the right family members and knew ahead of time that my uncle was home all along. People need to be careful when they answer unknown calls.
my mom just got a call from a man saying he was her nephew and
she asked him for his name, he said Tia i can't believe you don't remember me ,
never gave his name, but did ask for money to be wired to him .my mom didn't fall for it because non of her nephews ever call her Tia and live out of state,
I did not answer the call and they did not leave a message. After reading these posts, I am glad that I sent it to voicemail. Thank you for all your info.
