the person called looking for my father saying it was his cousin and that he wanted to come visit,
my mom quickly ran to get my father, when my father got on the phone he quickly realized it was NOT
his cousin so he told him he didn't sound the same and insulted him playfully, the caller then hung up and
my dad realized it was someone trying to get information from him
again, like the previous post said, don't give them any information!
This just happened to me.
Everything happened in Spanish.
Me: "Hello"
Him: "Hey how is the family doing?"
Me: "Uh, good...? Who is this?"
Him: "Your cousin, how are you cousin?"
Me: *giggling* "good, what cousin though?"
Him: "Meee! what other cousin"
Me: *MUTES* *waving at my mom* "Is this 331 area code from my AZ aunt?" She said: No! Hang up!
"Sorry I don't have any cousins with that area code
Him: "What other cousin you recently talked to!?
Me: I don't know what cousin, I only have cousins in Indiana and I don't recognize that are code"
Him: "I'm your cousin from Indiana"
MOM: HANG UP!
Me: *hangs up*
After that, my mom told me that this happened already to a friend of the family AND and an actual family member from AZ. They try to get information about you. Don't mention your name or the name of a family member. I really don't know why would they want to cause trouble and be stupid enough to call without blocking their number...
Be careful people!
