Got a call from this number today called me aunt and asked me to guess who he was and where I might know someone besides the state where I live. I don't have nephews in Mexico and his accent was not at all familiar. I hung up! Scam!
Got a call of someone looking for his uncle (my father) I identified myself as his son. This guy started chatting me up and wouldn't give his name he wanted me to guess. I asked for his mothers name and then for his, told him he might have the wrong family. Hung up and I called back but no luck. This person said his name was Luis and that he was in Mexico.
I got a similar call. They spoke to me in Spanish and was calling me uncle. He said he was my countryman and he wanted me to guess who he was. I told him he wasn't my countryman because of his accent, then he insult me and hung up.
I got a call from a man who said he was my cousin. He wouldn't give me his name but instead had me guess. He asked if he could visit because he'd be in the area. I guess he realized I wasn't going for his rouse because it did sound SO suspicious and sketchy for a few different reasons so he insulted me and hung up.
