Calling for Tech Aid Company telling me viruses and malware have been loaded to my computer and he needs to fix it. Wanted to know if I was near my computer. Said he was not calling for Windows when I told him Windows does not call any one. He did state he was given my computer ID by Windows.
Man called using 334-555-0121 - States he's from Solutions for All and wanted to provide IT services. I told him I did not see any website for his "company." He hung up.
Very arrogant man called TWICE, at 7:30 AM and again 2 hours later, both times claiming he was from windows and it was important that I do what he says on my computer. Since this is Quebec I told him -in French- that he needs to speak MY language, he told me in English that unless I want big problems I will have to speak English --- how arrogant must you be to both scam people AND discriminate them at the same time! I'm pretty sure he did understand when I said the words Police Officer, 'cause he hung up...
Had voice mail that said it was the US Treasury that I suspected of tax fraud. And if I don't respond that I be reported to the IRS or possibly arrested. But didn't have my name or any other details. SCAM! If that was the case I'd get a letter etc. Not a automated voice message.
