New York, same thing. No area code. calls started one day after a heavily accented Indian guy called about a DELL computer virus. Calls are coming 2-3 times daily. Called Dell and they had no idea what I was talking about. The Indians must have hacked their system
Got 3 calls from this number, answered them spoke with an Indian sounding gentleman who said he was from Dell and my computer was calling them. He actually asked for my daughter by name which freaked me out. I told him sorry, I know your scamming me and hung up
Got the same call from a similar sounding man. There was no area code but his phone number was 781-3002. How did he know I owned a Dell computer and how did he get my unlisted cell phone number? I only give my number to people I know, like family very few friends.
My phone number is not in area code 334. However, I have been receiving calls from 781-3002. No area code appears on my phone. After several hang ups from this number, someone finally id'd himself as supposedly from Dell. He said they were receiving messages that my computer had a virus on it. When I told him i did not have internet, he hung up w/out any further words. Fishy. Dell would have an entire number listed and not hang up abruptly like these scammers. How can one report them without an area code? How can one block them? (They have since called and hung up).
