Yep scam scum. But clearly Microsoft themselves are somehow supplying our phone numbers to these scammers. Proof: earlier today I signed up for a new Skype account and gave it an old Google Voice phone number that I haven't used in ages. Note that Skype is owned by Microsoft. 2 hours later, I got a call from the 338-188-1919 number on my Google Voice number.
Claimed to be Danny (not from India) calling because Microsoft has detected an unknown issue with my computer. I told "Danny" I know this is a scam. He asked how did I know.
