you build your own spending power. you are allowed to charge what you are capable in paying back over the course of a few months. be realistic --- no one is going to let you charge a gazillion dollars just because.
I've been getting phone calls on this number too. I pay my monthly bills and I'm sick of getting calls from AMEX. I ignore all the calls but these phone calls from AMEX are starting to piss me off.. I might as well just change my phone number.
3363931086 Called me. I have a Skype number for my business, and they asked for a Luis Gonzalez. I REPEATEDLY told them that I am not Luis, that this is a private business number, and to stop calling me. Obviously to no avail.
I got a phone call from this number 6/1/08 and checked here. I went ahead and called back, and the person who answered identified himself as "Mr. Foy." I assumed this was a scam or something, so I told him to identify his company so, unless he is lying, it is Amex. Anyway, I was pretty terse and he apologized and said he would remove my number. I have had this phone number for over 10 years, so I'm not sure how they got it.
I called the number back and nobody really picked up. However, I called the 800 number on the AMEX official website and they confirmed with me that there was some suspicious charges. I think its legitimate but just call the AMEX 800 number to be sure. The 336 number was probably their call center number.
