got a text from [email protected] saying they were from bank of america and there was a problem with my account lol. i do not have an account with bank of america the number is 336-405-8505

Got a text from [email protected] saying "(Your Attention is Needed. Contact Ban k Of Am erica @ 336 405 8505)". Now, aside from the typos why would the state of NC be texting me about my Bank of America acct? With a local call back number?  I called the number just to see and of course a bootleg recording comes on asking me to enter my debit card # and last 4 of my SSN. I hung up and then verified with the bank that there was no suspicious activity on my acct just in case.... since I have no idea where these people got my number. But this is obviously a scam, don't give them your info!

Obviously a scam.  Intentional space in the words Bank and America to avoid being flagged as scam.

Said it was urgent from Bank Of America. I DO NOT BANK WITH BOA..... SCAM ..............

caller sent text from [email protected] stating I had to contact bofa asap.  I work for a bank, its def fraud.
