Call came in @ 8:11 a.m. on October 1, 2015. My husband was sleeping so I picked the receiver up after one ring. I said quietly, "hello" and heard a man take a breath and hang up. So I had no idea it was (again) an IRS scam. I usually let the recorded take messages, which has caller ID.. The callers name showed it was unavailable, but did show the phone number
Funny how each time I call this guy back (336-441-5979), he either answers with 'Hello United States Treasury, how can I help you.' Then I proceed to tell him he owes me money and that I'm going to get it! Plus of course I toss in some good ol' cussin' to set him off! Hahaha.
I'm going to call this guy each time I get bored at work and let him know that in order to avoid any more trouble; He better GIVE ME MY MONEY!!!!!! Hahahahaha
Call came from 336-441-5979 at 12:20 MT. Busy so did not answer. Caller left no message. Pressed the call back feature on the phone and the person answered as "Treasury". Asked "Who are you?" replied "The Treasury Department". Asked, Which section of the Treasury Department are you with? -- No reply. Asked, "Who are you trying to reach?" -- Again No Reply. Informed person that he had called a U.S. Government office located in a Federal Building and I would transfer his call to the Treasury Department in the building. Caller said "I will have my lawyer here in fourty five minutes." Then he hung up. The 336 area code is from the Piedmont area of North Carolina, so it is highly unlikely that the Treasury would initiate a call to the central part of the US because that is a different region. Also the male had an accent that sounded as if from India. In any case, it is not likely that anyone from any government agency would call across regions and all Agents fo the U. S. Government are required to give name, department, devision and name of their supervisor if requested. Since the telephone number is valid, a report of contact was forwarded to the Office of the Inspector General, Department of Treasury.
called 3 times today so far starting at 8am cst, stated I had 45 minute to call him back so he could assist me in preventing further orders from the u.s. magistrate , which if that happened I could be arrested and suffer further fines , or court ordered liens on my assets. I just told him that I hope he gets his permit validated for parking his and all his associates camels in America. he said that offends him , I said well im offended that you dirt bags can waste our time and so far get away with it . CLICK... that's what I heard after that. calls come in from north carolinia. the US TREASURY DONT CALL YOU PEOPLE , THEY WOULD SEND A LETTER TO YOU WITH THE CORRECT INFO YOU NEED TO NOTIFY THEM. don't fall for these goat humpers that call and threaten you.
