Called my home phone, asked for the owner of this phone number. Said he was Eric, calling from Windows computer. I told him he was an as* and a scammer and he shouldn't prey on people like that.
This is a typical phone scam, trying to get novice PC users to allow scammers to remotely access your PC, then do identity and credit card theft as well as set up botnets. DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM.
I work in computer security, just don't fall for it. No one from Microsoft or any other software or hardware company will EVER call you, unsolicited, and ask you to allow them to access your PC. EVER.

Thanks for posting this, same person called with a different Caller ID, the other day I kept them on the phone and right up to the point of allowing him to access my computer, I did not have my air Horn handy so I said I would let him have access if I was a dumba$$, and hung up on him. This time Caller Id was Ontiveros Nick 9 1 336 460 1145
I really really hope these people get what they have coming to them!!
