I received a call from a Dennis Mitchell stating he is Stern & Associates and my name came up in some court filings in regard to some outstanding bills from his client. I've never ducked and dodged my expenses so called him back to find it was a doctor I used a year ago. I called the doctor's office and turns out there was a clerical error where the bills and notices have been sent to the wrong address. I call Mitchell back, and explain and he's arguing and yelling at me, extremely rude, saying that "this is the information that I'm given" and slams the phone. Apparently, this is nothing new from him, as I found another review by way of his 800 number, 800-455-0260. Also, his local number in Greensboro, NC as listed on Stern's website is 336-272-0800.
On the reviews for his 800 number, there are a couple suggestions on how to go about officially complaining/filing notice about Dennis Mitchell to the proper organizations/authorities, i believe the FTC. I'm also taking it up with BBB; not gonna get him fired or reprimanded tomorrow, but I'm sure it's already piling up a case against him.
I received a call from a lady and she was looking for a senior citizen that I know. I told her that she was not available, so I guess the lady did not believe me and replied with a sarcastic remark and then slammed the phone down. I called the number back later, after researching the phone number and reading comments on your site or this number. I called and a guy answered the phone. He acted like he didn't want to say the company name, but finally did. I ask him what the call was regarding and that the lady was rude that called from there earlier. He was also short and rude and then hung up also on me after I stated that she was not available. I called him back and then hung up on him (intentional). He called me back 8 times trying to get the opportunity to return the favor, but I did not answer, nor did he leave a message. I am not one to reckon with and this company will be reported for harassment without a cause, especially looking for an old sickly senior citizen.
I am permanently disabled. I have a bill that I have been paying on for two years in the amount of $516.25. I have numerous other doctor bills that I have to pay also, and try and keep a roof over my head and a car. My disability is my only income. Dennis Mitchell has called me several times screaming that they are going to take legal action against me. He is rude, arrogant, and has absolutely no manners or person skills. I explained I am sending $5 a month, but he keeps yelling. I told him to send me statements and not to ever call my number again. He told me he was not sending me anything, but taking legal action against me, and hung up. I have contacted Cornerstone Healthcare and Associates about him because this the the doctor bill in question. That man should go to boot camp and be yelled at 24 hrs a day.
