I got a text from this number as well, stating "hi Nicole!" I wrote them back and asked who it was and got nothing back. My mobile plan isn't under my name either. The only correlation I can see is just from numbers being on Facebook. I just changed my number a couple of months ago and haven't given it out or put it on any sites other than Facebook. My number isn't even public on there. I blocked my number and called it as well and the message simply said that was only a textable number, so I'm assuming it's from an app. I used to have HeyWire for free sms texting, so maybe that is the correlation.
It would be curious to see how many people who are receiving these texts might've had a texting app before. Anyone else use HeyWire?
