Says they are Alliance Security, want to put sign in yard for install of wireless equipment..i responded no thanks, she quickly sent me to a man to reschedule call back of which I did want, I asked where are you located? he hung up...Found the no. is from Yadkinville, NC...I need some to tell me if this is scam of which I believe so or more important to try a robbery.

Almost certainly a scam of some sort. What they usually want, is for you to sign up for a security system of some kind. If you agree to have a sign put up, they will send two people out to try to convince you to buy a system. At that point they engage in almost strong - arm methods and you have to call police in order to get rid of them.
Never accept or agree to the services of anyone who cold calls you. Never agree to have strangers come into your property or residence. You don't know who these people are and they may be outright criminals for all you know.
