Got a call from +33 6 55 50 12 1 googled it, and here we see it's another scammer spammer type call. I answered, there was a long delay, then some muffled noises, then the line goes dead. Glad I googled it before calling back!
Definitely one for the block list.
I just got a call from 336-555-0121 on my cell phone. It was a recorded message, and since I was just out the door when I picked up this call, I missed first few words, but recorded message said that my account (I missed hearing what kind of account) will be locked, and said to press some number to reach their security department. I hung up the phone, since
I didn't have time, and I just Googled this number 336-555-0121 before calling back. I'm sure glad I did, because I found
out that this is another one of these scam that this guy (with a thick Indian accent) is trying to pull on me. I've been
getting so many calls from this guy posing to be a IRS officer, Microsoft security, etc. and no matter how many times
I tell this guy that I know who you are, and that I know this is a scam, he keeps on calling me and trying new number.
I hope this guy will get caught soon.
I have been getting these kinds of calls for years, wanting to hack into my computer. Finally I had enough and contacted the IC3 (Internet Crime Division of the FBI) to complain. I received a phone call from someone from the IC3 and they asked if I could get the codes from the caller and told me how to go about it. I was able to do this the next time they called and they caught that one. You can help too. When they call, tell them... yes LIE and tell them you will cooperate. They will guide you through this process and to get into your computer. You may have to do what they say to the point where they ask you to enter in certain codes. DO NOT ENTER THE CODES, but WRITE THEM DOWN. Once you have the codes, hang up on the jerk and contact the IC3 and give them the codes with the phone number and anything else they ask for. Those codes are important to tracking those monsters down. If we can all do this, we could start to shut them down for good. Just an FYI.
