"Nathan Cunningham" called a co-worker of mine on Christian Mingle dating site.  He claims to be a widower, who lost his wife and brother in a car accident in 2007. His mother is in Tampa, Fl with his son, Brian and father lives in Italy. Claims to be Italian descent and "speaks" with a thick accent. He even e-mailed pictures of this Italian hunk of a guy, any woman would fall for.   Says he is a mechanical engineer contracted with Exxon-Mobil working on the "Deepwater Millenium" oil rig.  He has invested $23 million dollars in this venture and looks to make $35 million.  Says as soon as the job is over, he wants to meet up with her and have a blissful life together. The more detailed questions she asks him, the more elusive he becomes. Hasn't asked her for money yet, as have seen he's done on other caller sites, but am sure he would have.  She's wised up and has given him the boot!  I would have loved to seen her play him for a fool, but couldn't convince her to do so.

Caller is supposedly an oil rig driller from Monticello either in North Carolina or Florida. Caller works for a company called Arizona Rig or some thing similar. I have found no such record of a company ever existing. Also caller claims to be of Italian descent. Claims to have a son named Bryan living in Tampa, FL with his grandmother. Caller claims to be widowed. Caller asks for money for his son to go on overseas trips. My mother recently joined Christian Mingle and connected with "Mr. Cunningham" he has asked her for $2100 for his son to fly to France for a school trip. Upon my own investigation no such trip exists for any schools in Tampa, FL. Furthermore, Mr. Cunningham asked the money be wired to an agent in Texas. Some of this information was acquired through email, but either way this man is a scam artist.

My co-worker had the very same thing happen to her.  She too was posted in Christian Mingle and "connected" with Nathan Cunningham.  He e-mailed her on Christian Mingle, then home e-mail and then exchanged phone numbers.  However, he's now on the "Deepwater Millenium" oil rig employed as a marine engineer hired thru Exxon Mobil. He had won the contract bid for maintenance on this rig.  Had invested $ 23 million dollars in this venture, but was going to make $35 million.  The job was going to last for about 6 weeks and then he would fly to Florida to meet my co-worker Same scenario with the Italian descent along with an accent.  He's supposedly widowed in 2007 from an automobile accident that killed his wife and brother, Antonio.  His son, Brian, lives with Nathan's mother in Tampa. Interestingly enough his son went on another "school trip" to France, but did not ask my co-worker for any money.  (Boy, I would have liked to have gone to that school.)  He really played on her emotions and claimed that God had sent him to her and that it was divine intervention that brought them together.  Whenever, he would call from this number, the connection usually was poor.  He apparently was very convincing at first, then when my co-worker started asking detailed questions, she became suspicious.  She asked a friend, who works as an investigator for the local Sheriff's office, to find information about this "Nathan" character and the phone number he is using.  That's when she found this site along with other information about his telemarketing scam.  So beware of Mr. Cunningham.  I told my co-worker to continue to play along with him.  I suspect he will eventually ask her for money to fly to Florida for them to meet.  I told her to tell him that she was in financial distress as well and ask him for money to help her out.  Let's see what happens!!!!

Helping a Friend Nathan used
Nathan Cunningham met my friend on Christian Mingle and he gave her the same story he's been giving everyone else. Lost his wife & brother on an accident in 2007, son living with his mom in Tampa FL, a mechanical engineer working on oil rigs,  etc. The only thing was my friend fell for his lies & he ended up scamming her out of almost $11,000 of her hard earn money. Even to this day he's blowing smoke up her butt promising to pay her back once he was paid the $35 million for the oil Rich job he finished overseas but it's been 3 months and she's hasn't seen a penny of that money. My friend went to the police and they told her that there's no Nathan Cunningham on the state of NC with the birth date of 1/25/69 which he gave her. They phone number is most likely being bounced from different satellites so it can't be traced and Mr.Cunningham also told her his mother passed away in March. To this day she is still trying to get her money back so if anyone discovers is whereabouts, please post it here. What ever you do, DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY MONEY!!!!  He's a professional scam artist, knew just what to say to get my friend to give him money and he promised to marry her. Would NEVER video chat & always had an excuse why they couldn't meet. She hasn't stopped trying to find him and has notified the authorities in Winston Salem NC & Tampa FL. There is no such thing as the perfect crime & he'll get his one day. Stay away from him!!
