I did not pick up. The cut-off robot voice mail message said "...to inform you that IRS is filing a lawsuit against you..." and to call them back. Haha, hahaha, how clever. What a bunch of scammers. Don't fall for this, friends. If IRS would really be suing you, there would be a long paper trail, not just a robot calling. According to IRS, they would never call you without sending you a bill first --> https://www.irs.gov/uac/newsroom/phone-scams- ... 6-filing-season
Called me 3 times today with this recorded message: "Final notice from IRS Internal Revenue Services the reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our department number 336-682-1849 I repeat 336-682-1849. thank you."
SCAM! They called and left messages about a lawsuit the IRS is allegedly filing against me. When I call back it is a foreign man who hangs up when I tell him my profession (detective) and I'm filing a report with the AG's office.
