Received a call, appeared to be a local number (336 area code, Winston-Salem NC). Began launching in to the type of car I had and inquisitive about if I "qualified" for an extended warranty. First question -- "do you know how many miles I have on the car?" I answered "of course, I do." Silence. Question re-stated....I provided same answer. Silence. Then, I noted I was not interested. The person said......."well, thanks for dangling carrots in front of me...." HUH? This was definitely not a call I would have taken, had I known the purpose.

I had this number call at 1:30 am in the morning! I just called it back and someone answered, "Warranty Processing Center", I told them that this number had called my house and what time it was when they called. He said very abrasively that that was not them. I said will it was this number can you tell me what company this is? He said in a rude voice, I must have the wrong number because this company is not open at that time no one would have called you and he HUNG UP ON ME! Scammer!
