This call is from a "Christian Ministries" non profit to which we donated a year or more ago. Last time they called I answered and told them I did not want to donate again, and to take me off their lists. They called a few minutes ago, and when I (a 61 yr old man) answered, they hung up. But I discovered that I can find the caller's # on my answering machine, and I called them back. They acknowledged having tried to call my wife, and I said she was at work, and the woman said "When we called yesterday at 1:30 your wife said someone was at the door and to call back today."
My wife was at work yesterday at 1:30 ! I told them to take us off their calling and mailing list...the woman asked, did we do something to offend you? I started to say, well lying while saying you are a Christian Ministries organization is offensive, but I just said, no, it doesn't fit in our budget any more.
So, if they call, call 'em back and tell 'em you're on the federal DoNot Call list...if they can lie, why not us ?
They constantly call (upwards of 4 times a day) and never leave a message. when my husband told the woman that he doesn't want them to call back, she started calling him names (e.g., "Stupid F*&king Idiot to be exact). And these people are supposed to be a Christian Ministry?
