I received a phone call from this number & a gentleman with a heavy Middle Eastern accent answered the telephone. He asked me what he could do for me & I replied to him that he called me so what did he want. He told me his name was "Jack Off" (no kidding...how original). He told me he was calling from the Federal Crime Department in Washington & that there was a warrant out for my arrest attached to my Social Security number. I told him this was not possible then he said my social security number to me & I told him it was not my number. He then stated my address. I asked him for his real name. He became belligerent with me & told me that he was coming to arrest me & hung up on me. When I googled the company name "Federal Crime Department" I saw that this was a scam. Some how these people get your personal information & use it against you. I read that I need to now report this to the office of social services. What a nightmare!!

I recieved a voicemail message from a recording to call crime investigation officer Jack something or rather immediately. I decided to look up the phone number and I came up to this site where it is previously reported as scam. I didn't bother to call this number back
I received the same kind of message. I called back and the very rude middle eastern man "Jack Austin" answered already knowing who I was. He called out my ss#, address, employment, and bank institution. I never admitted to the info being correct but it scared me knowing he had this info. He then said I would be arrested if I didn't choose to settle out of court and pay $480 today. I told him I didn't have that right now so he offered a payment arrangement. At this time really knew it was a scam because if there was really a case for something like this they wouldn't handle things in this manner. I told him I would call back and hung up..I'm not calling back! Has anyone taken further action against this person and what should I do to get this handled?
I received this recorded phone call on Sat. 09/26/2015--I called the number back ,a recording said that ext. 970 was not available and to call back at another time.
