Any callers who refuse to identify themselves or mail proof of any alleged debt and their legal right to collect said debt, are owed nothing, per the FDCPA. Report the callers to the FTC, FBI, Dept of Justice and your state's Attorney General. Threats of legal action are also a violation of the FDCPA.
This the same caller that uses the number 337-376-0532 who also uses this number 702-989-8720. This "person" is trying to collect on a debt that's more than 5 years old (which is not longer collectible in per State of Nevada law) and is in violation of FDCPA (The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Pub. L. 95-109; 91 Stat. 874, codified as 15 U.S.C. § 1692 –1692p) law. This b*****d called family members and didn't properly identify himself and pulled a scam move to try to mine information and tried to scare/bully my family. DO NOT PUT UP WITH THIS GUYS ILLEGAL B***S***.
I called the FBI but it's not something they do anything about however they said the company is a scammer and typically uses Magic Jack to have numbers in every state to call from.
The FTC will transfer you to the Consumer Financial Protection Branch where you can file a complaint which I have. Then if you call your justice department you will be transferred to your District Attorney's office, you can also call your local police department to inform them of the situation. DO NOT PUT UP with people or companies that scam! Sue them.
