Called today at 4:46PM (Eastern). Caller id display showed "out of area" and the number, which I did not recognized. Due to numerous calls a week from robocalls (which are reported scams trying to obtain credit card information) and pharmaceutical companies from outside the USA (illegal), we no longer answer the phone unless we know for sure who is calling. I did not recognize the number and when our answering machine picked up, the only message we got was the beeping (busy sound). I'm guessing pharmaceutical company because the robocalls always leave a message "last chance to lower your credit interest rate". Do Not Call works for the most part because we're not getting telemarketing calls from legitimate companies, but I just wish there was a way to get these other calls to stop. It's harassment when there are 5 - 10 of these calls a week.
