They just called me again since June 23. Said they were from some vegetation website and got my request for applying for a college. It doesn't seem as much as a prank call like the last one I got. Last time I heard laughter in the background.
Keep receiving phone calls from this number on my cell phone. I called them and told them to remove my number and I have their calls blocked now but they still continue to call. Something and someone needs to stop these annoying calls.
Please read my posts above to see the proper steps to take to report these people. I think flooding the Attorney General's office in your home state and the state of LA, along with contact the sheriffs department (see number above) should help a lot to get these losers the justice they so much deserve.
For me, it has been a great adventure. All the calls that they tried to flood me I have actually taken the time to speak with each one of them and asked them to report these guys. I have talked to some really nice people from various colleges/universities across this great country, so it has been the reverse of what these idiots wanted....haha, losers!

Thanks Chris! That is great advice. I am going to call the attorney general's office and the sheriff department as well. I am a software engineer and I am going to go to work on locating this number and the email you mentioned. As soon as I have the IP address or some credible information, I will post it here for everyone to see. Did you also report them to the FCC?

This makes your calls appear to be from an unknown number and you can just sit there and wait until they hang up. I am sure after several hundred calls from us the consumers, these idiots will get the mesage to back off or else. But considering the fact of how stupid these people are, they probably won't get it.
Haha, that is classic Mike! Between you and the guy with the airhorn suggestion, you have provided some good ways to fight back at these clowns.
I have actually made some progress with my complaint filed to the attorney generals' office. One of the colleges that they send my number was nice enough to forward the email they used. Even if they used an email masking application, there is enough information in the packets sent from their PC to locate their IP address and service provider.
We both agree that these cowards are not in New Iberia, LA and simply purchased a number there, so they are only acting tough because they think they have hid themselves...again, these guys are idiots and apparently have no clue about the techonology they are using and how it is getting used against them. I know for a fact that they only act this way because they think no one can find them, guess again. If they had a legit business somewhere and we could go there, they would not make these calls because they know we would come after them. Again, nothing but cowards.
As as I said before, tick-tock boys....its just a matter of time before this little operation is closed.
