I advertised two Jaguar XJ6's for sale. A man who used the name Don Robert Mills with an address of 201 Jeffrey Dr., Lafayette, LA 70503, emailed me and said he would pay full price for both cars and would send me a certified check and would arrange for the shipping after I received the check. I was suspicious because his address was an apartment which would make car restoration difficult and unusual. Offering the same price for both cars was also suspicious because I said one car was in rough shape and I would take less money for it. Then I did an internet search and found this site.
I emailed back and said I only take cash or PayPal. I haven't heard from him since. He didn't call me, but this is the number at the bottom of his email.
I received a responce saying Robert Collins wanting to buy the car we had listed. I was leary of this whole thing,I have questioned a lot of people about the way this was handle.
Willing to buy at full price pay for shipping and wait till I had the cash before picking up.Even after I told him all that was wrong with it.When I called his number I got A Relay Call. In other words someone
types your conversation no conversation between the two people. Mostly used for Hearing Impaired I went back and forth about cash only and he was still willing. So I emailed him and gave him an address not mine to send it to and ask for a copy of his drivers license to fill out the bill of sale and title. I have not heard anymore. Then like others on this sight I googled his number and found the same kind of info I had found on him. You know the old saying if its to good to be true it ususally is well I still stand buy it. Looks like he uses different names but I see the Robert part hasnt changed.This is the letter from him.
